Beta testing sounds more pleasant. The computer is mine to keep, I'd appreciate any questions or comments, I wouldn't mind testing something for you.

I was just thinking viewing angles, run some 3d mark vantage, some other benchmarking software. Can you OC it using setFSB or another OC tool, run HD prime if possible,things like that. I saw you said you were going to be doing some benchmarks but those are my suggestions.

erm, it's not a pc. It's chrome os, It can't run anything but the chrome browser, or rather, it is the chrome browser. I was going to do page rendering benchmark

I think I saw that it supports 3G. Have you tried it on 3G? Which carriers are supported and how much does it cost?
3G coverage was one of the biggest reasons I bought an iPad. I wonder if this or one like it might be a good competitor.

IIRC, the CR-48 was never intended to be more than a bare-bones netbook, and Chrome OS was always meant to be a way to perform the most common functions of a computer these days--which is to access the Web.

3g is locked to verizon, I can't forecast what they will offer in the future. It's fairly fast, I've been enjoying it in coffeeshops that do not have free wi-fi. 100mb per month is free for two years, then it's 20 for a gig, and 10 for each gig afterwards. Alternatively you can get an unlimited day for 10.
