I need head-fi's help....I feel I've reached the pinnacle...I'm listening to wav lossless files ripped from cds to the ipod...from the ipod to the wadia itransport to the DAC1 to the GS-1 to the equinoxed hd650/rs-1/akg701/etc....how could I possibly improve on what I'm hearing? I'm looking for suggestions.

Thanks and Merry Xmas.....I love to listen to Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief....progressive....please no vinyl suggestions as it is just not for me.

You could sell the DAC1 in favor of a better source.
Then you could sell the GS-1 in favor of a better amp.
Stick with the equinox hd650, unless you want to go electrostatic.

oh and you can always upgrade your cables if you haven't done that

Well, do you have a budget? What kind of music do you like? Ever thought about building your own amp? It's more labor than skill - you can save a lot and have great performance.
