Headphoneus Supremus
I knew I shouldn't have gotten a CD-based MP3 player, but back in August last year it was all I could afford. Luckily I got the Best Buy extended warranty on it so I can at least get exchange value for it. The battery life is way too short and it rarely plays even a single disc correctly, it often can't get through an entire MP3 track. It also skips horribly. And I didn't even mention the annoying hiss from the very wimpy headphone out. I have tried at least 4 or 5 firmware versions since I got it and nothing has helped it. Some days I feel like throwing it in the trash.
So I am looking for a new player. It has to have at least 8 hours of real world battery life, at least 1GB of capacity, be at least PDA size or smaller or have a remote, have a good headphone out, and be able to play any MP3 file foobar2000 or Winamp can play without trouble. Also, it has to be able to be obtained at Best Buy (I'm using the extended warranty for my IMP-350 which gives me $130 exchange value) and preferably cost under $250. Any suggestions are appreciated.
