So, I finally upgraded the stock headphones that came with my iPod Nano to the 630! I was able to pick them up on sale for $30 CAD. The quality difference is incredible, and I'm hearing details that I could never have dreamed of being in my music, even at low bit rates.

The only problem with these wonderful headphones is that it would be dangerous to use them in any situation where I have to be aware of my surroundings. What do you guys recommend for listening outside? I was thinking that the new version of the JVC Gumy headphones look like a good choice.

Now that you've joined and posted, you may as well upgrade to UE-10 pros and HE90s...

But seriously, the main suggestion you will be getting for something that lets in sound is the Koss KSC75. It is a clip-on, said to rival $60+headphones, for ~20.
