6 weeks ago I upgraded my K1000 headphone cable from Valkyrja speaker wiring into Valhalla power cord wiring, and the improvement was so good that it gave me my first eargasm within minutes!

I have tried:

Stock K1000 cable
Stefan AudioArt Hardwired K1000 cable
Nordost Solar Wind speaker cable
Nordost Valkyrja speaker cable
Nordost Valhalla power cord

Each cable was a step up in sound quality and I didn't think it could get any better than Valkyrja, but I was wrong, and Valhalla gave me an eargasm to prove it!

Yes, the Valhalla has the most bass out of all the cables I tried. It also has more low-level detail, but since the bass is so huge the low-level detail isn't emphasized anymore, but it's still there in the background. Everything is very smooth and clean. The Valhalla sounds heavy, blue and fresh. The Valkyrja sounded thin, grey and dry, it was more neutral but it was boring. Valhalla sounds like real life.

Valhalla is more colored than Valkyrja because it has deeper silver plating and is 16awg instead of 22awg, but since the Valhalla power cord has Dual Mono filaments it has less contact with the conductor which gives less signal loss and more low-level detail. Only the Valhalla power cord and digital interconnects have the Dual Mono filament technology. The new Odin speaker cables and interconnects have it too, but they cost almost 10 times more than Valhalla. The Valhalla is a bargain!

I would think that "aurgasm" is a better word.

EDIT: Sorry for necro'ing the thread, didn't read date.

Well since Sean bumped this thread already, I might as well say that I am expecting to get Patrick's K1000 within the next month or so

They look destroyed in the pictures, but meh. He is also sending me his Sonic Impact T-Amp to use with it and if I decide I like them, he will also send me his Benchmark DAC1 for a small fee. I am trading my MAD Ear+ HD, spare tubes and Grado HF-2 for them if I decide I like the K1000...Patrick is a great guy. Trusting me with all that without any form of payment before hand

Even if every audio component he owns has been "badly mutilated".

If everything goes through, look forward to a review

I would have thought that "organism" would be the better suited word in this case.
