I'll get a pic of mine tomorrow.

I'd hope not, considering all the shrinkwrap still present on the discs.

1) I recommend the rest of the "Cube" movies
2) SuperVHS didn't knock out standard VHS even though it looked great. I think the hd dvd formats are only going to be desireable to videophiles due to the incredible high cost of the players.
3) My vote for scariest movie is Exorsist 1. I still won't watch that movie alone on a stormy night.
4) I voted it sucks because of the picture....put me down for ...kinda sucks...lol...kidding.
5) If I list my dvd collection it will be quickly edited...are there blu-ray pornos yet?

No DVD collection is complete without any of the following (possible spoilers):

City Of God
It puts you right in the middle of the ghetto of Rio De Janeiro, and it tells the story of multiple kids and how they grew up there. One becomes a gangster, the other a photographer. This movie will stick in the back of your mind for days and even weeks. Great (!) filming and editing.

Dog Day Afternoon
Old, but Al Pacino's best act in my opinion. The suspense of all the guns drawn on both sides but no one firing is amazing, and this really is a must watch. Al Pacino gains the favor of the crowds even though he is the bankrobber.

Fallen
It's just so good. The way Denzel Washington is being toyed with is great. It's not the best movie ever made but it's so chilling yet intriguing that it can't be missed in a collection.

Fight Club
Self explanatory, really. Just watch it if you haven't.

Pulp Fiction
I don't need to explain this one, do I?

The Boondock Saints
This movie just grabs me for some reason. The idea of taking justice into your own hands when the real justice system fails is compelling. Great acting by fairly unknown actors, and the love between them makes it a great watch.

The Game
Great, great movie. The music used at times is awesome, the multiple plot twists are great and the tricks they pull are stunning. Really good movie that I can watch time after time.

The Godfather trilogy
Classic, well filmed and acted. Very nicely put together and a must watch for anyone who likes the maffia. Many people feel the third isn't as good as the first two but I liked it equally.

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy
A great story that sticks true to the book (though parts are left out). It's not as rewarding to watch as reading the book is, but the undertaking of filming a story this large and pulling it off this good deserves a two thumbs up from me.

The Matrix trilogy
Not many people do this, but also watch The Animatrix. It explains the before in a way that The Matrix's trilogy lacks. The Animatrix is an animated film of multiple shorter films, done differently each time. Artistically great, and story wise pretty fine aswell.

The Shining
Scariest movie ever? If not that then the acting and small tricks used (like the sound of Danny's Bike riding trough the halls of the hotel in the beginning shot of the family driving up the mountain) make it a great watch. Very scary because of the story and filming, not because of sudden sounds or the like. Stanley Kubrick did a great job. Doesn't stick with the story of the book but I'm not sure which end is better, Stephen King's or Stanley Kubrick's. Both the book and film are worth reading/seeing.

The Usual Suspects
I didn't see it coming the first time I watched it. That's all I can say without spoiling the film.

Trainspotting
This movie throws you right into the life of a couple heroine addicts. It shows the upsides of the life they live but also the downsides. Great acting by unknown actors, great filming too.

Anyone have some recommendations on what I should pick up?

Nothing special on your collection Starsky5000. You need more classic films.

Nice collections digitalmind and raymondlin.

My main hobby before falling into headphones was movies. Nowadays I watch them rarely but I still have quite large DVD-collection of ~400 movies. I could list them here but I think it's easier for you to check them out from here.

I voted It Sucks, because I hate horror flicks. I don't mind a good scary movie (I liked the Shining a lot), but I really can't deal with gratuitous gore. My wife loves that stuff, though.

Most of my DVD collection is music/concert stuff, along with select Monty Python, most of Quentin Tarantino's films, plus a bunch of DVD cartoon collections.
