It must be karma. after typing up Green Gartside here, my wife mentioned in passing that Scritti Politti just put out a new album. wow!

That "Axl Rose" name is indeed pretty cool, as it's an anagram for "Oral s*x".

Maybe that's already common knowledge, but I felt like mentioning it anyway.

I thought that looked wrong when I typed it. I actually didn't know that was the anagram, but it makes sense...I also would have typed it correctly had I known.

I'm 45 and I'm still voting for "The Edge." Just put U2-"Boy" in for a spin, and remember when...

(For that matter, Spike , a/k/a James Masterson wasn't half bad either; see Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Once More with Feeling.")

Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart

yes, wolfgang amadeus only was his stage name

some of mozart's christian names are extremely rare, if not unique. the 'joannes' lacks an h, 'chrysostomus' is a rather obscure saint, 'wolfgangus' is a badly latinized common name, and 'teophilus' is the greek version of 'gottlieb' - mozart preferred the latin version 'amadeus'.

the whole playful composition fits mozart nicely, though, just like the lively lilting 'antonio vivaldi' and the searching, soul-bound 'john coltrane' fits them.
