Go for full music 12bh7. Jazzy warmish is the sound! ✌️. And yeah I know you didn't like the 6sn7 but linlai also has 6sn7 elite now and there very good. If you have mk3 deluxe version (latest) then only need those 2 6sn7 with rca played. For me the best. Before was FM 12bh7 my first choice.

What 6SN7 adapted are you using? These are what I bought

To be fair I only ever tried the one set of 6SN7, so maybe I should try again....!

I've decided to try a hand-matched quad of 12AT7-T-MII from HotRox here in the UK. I will report back.

Yeah this is fine. I use a self-made 1. It's with better contacts but compare to these that would be minimal difference. E-6sn7 or Nanking 6h8c around years 1958 are my 2 top choices. https://www.ebay.com/itm/293019956194

Try the 12bh7 from Full music as well you won't be disappointed. They are not expensive and very good.

The psvane T mkii are good, not special. The new art series are better compare to them.

The 701 isn't a proper balanced design and I would avoid personally. Consonance linear1 is on my radar personally.

So far the psvane 12AT7-T-MII are breaking in nicely. Very natural sounding.

I'll be ordering x8 of the art series 12AU7 for the KT88 monoblocks I have coming next week. I couldn't see the AT7 in art series, only T-mk2

Tonight, installed some Mundorf Supreme EVO SilverGoldOil 2.2 micro farad 800VDC caps. Going into a Bottlehead Crack OTL with the speedball upgrade, HD600s. Spent $230 on the pair, but it has really brought out lots of details, lowered the noise floor, increased headroom. Bass is real tight. I'm not sure Gary uses the "EVO" version, but it's probably comparable to the standard SGO he supplies as the upgrade option. Really really good sound and I think it's worth it. Probably could get better output using an upgrade headphone amplifier compared to the current Crack.

It seems Gary has added the Vcap ODAM as an option for the MP-D2 on the website now. If Gary likes them enough to include them, they must be good :) I recommend others to give it a shot. I have nothing bad to say about it after all this time, great caps.

Yes, the 12au7's are the Art series. There's a delay getting them shipped. I checked the tracking # and its still stuck in Hong Kong.

Well.....I'm very excited. Ordered Linlai 274B (single), (2)300B and (2) 12au7's. I corresponded with Linlai and I got the impression that they certainly want to generate buzz. The 12au7's are the latest( I think) addition to their Elite line. They have others but this one is the best. They suggested it and gave me a good deal . I might as well have them included in the shipment.
Can you provide a link to where you purchased your Linlai tubes from? Thanks!

Plenty of clearance between them.

shuguang cv181-z quad matched.

it is a shame that the tubes have to be turned around so you can't see the gold lettering :frowning2:

Hi folks
so has anyone had a similar issue, so purchased a Used Cossor 53KU rectifer and when when using certain tubes for instance Tungsrams ECC85 it will cut out and need resetting
not every track but maybe 1 in 5 tracks and more if higher volume, doesn’t do it all with a different rectifer though
thoughts anyone
