Music that makes you cry?

Oh god, William Basinski's Disintegration Loops. Listening to every part, one after the other, is like letting your heart just slowly break over the span of five hours. I know some people find it to be very peaceful, and it is, but it is in a harrowing way, I think. Like watching flames slowly consume a field in the dawn hours. Or something. Everyone should give it a try at least once.

I'm going to post a sample of it even though I probably shouldn't because listening to just bits and pieces of it takes away from the experience--still, at least you can see if it might be your 'thing,' so to speak.

Allegri - Chariots of Fire (choir) is a really, really saddening song to me :frowning2:

Note: this is not the piano version. The version I'm talking about is completely choral. If anyone is interested I can see if I can track down an internet version.

Great choice there TJ. Can't Sleep get me sometimes.

Oh yes, Can't Sleep is great. Hasn't made me cry, but it sure does make me focus on what I'm hearing whenever it plays.
