Music player app for android

There was a poll done in the forum:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/601111/which-android-music-player-do-you-use

Not many new contestants since the poll that I know of...if you want to stream music from say a wifi drive, then other players are required.

i like poweramp the best, it supports FLAC too. its eq is very good as well although the bass response part is questionable (30hz knob seems to boost freqs as high as 100hz from what i can hear)

What advantages does this have over the stock music player?

Never tried mate, it's a free player with no ads. That's mainly why I like it. :D

You can find out details about it here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cloudtv.cloudskipper&feature=search_result

I clicked that link to check it out and clicked right away from it as soon as I saw that it had Facebook and Twitter sharing....lol.
I'll stick with Poweramp.

What's wrong with that exactly?

It's fairly simple not to use it if you don't want to.

I know a lot of people who value that feature quite a lot.

I don't use either Facebook or Twitter....so for me those components would just be bloat in the app. You are correct that a lot of people would like it though.

I tried out a bunch of Android players but found most of them bloaty and useless until I bought Poweramp.

I like RockBox (http://rasher.dk/rockbox/android/)

+ It's free
+ A lot of settings
+ It plays all my audio-files (FLAC, .xm for example)
+ It also have good SQ.
- It's really buggy.

Neutron for me. Measured it with RMAA and it outperforms Poweramp easily. Actually Poweramp measured only as good (or IMO, as bad) as the stock music player on my GT7+.
