I wonder how many of you appreciate Mr. Bean.
I do! His episodes and movies are so funny.

For cross-cultural, universal humour Bean is perhaps definitive. As a Brit I prefer Blackadder.....I have a cunning plan my lord...

As an exiled Brit' I'm more inclined to the Blackadder series but my preference is for his early stand up work.
His piece entitled "The Devil", where he's Satan organizing the new arrivals to Hell is just hilarious.
I have it on MP3 in iTunes and pull it up every now and then...usually along with some old Derek & Clive.

The best thing about this thread is that it does not contain a poll.

In attendum. I love Mr Bean. But not as much as Red Dwarf.

I must admit, Red Dwarf appeals to me on many levels. I miss that show (no cable).

But, Mr. Bean/Rowen Atkinson is a quite funny. I always thought his "Mr. Bean" comedy to be ingenious in a way. Much like the universal comedy of the "Pink Panther" cartoons. I remember watching one of those on a flight to Zurich in my collegiate days. Ah, fond memories...

Cheers,

Nylan

I think Blackadder is his best work (especially 'Goes Forth') but his stand-up is awesome too (anyone see his cleaner/ janitor sketch where he trips over an imaginary drumstick and then proceeds to sit down and play the entire imaginary kit? Great stuff)
