MP3 Player with Replaceable Battery??

Do you mean instantly replaceable so you can carry extras for longer run time? In that case a AA external battery pack is probably a better idea. And if you mean user-replaceable for when the battery wears out and will no longer take a charge, well, that's almost all of them. Battery replacement kits for all common models are available all over the Internet.

The OP asked if there are DAPS with replaceable batteries. I've replaced the battery in my iPod, as have countless others.

In fact one of the complaints with the newer iPods is that the batteries are soldered in. The older batteries use a connector so they can be replaced easily. All you have to do is be willing to crack open the iPod case. The rest is easy.

This is a stupid thread. Every DAP has a replaceable battery - just depends how patient you are, and if you can find a good source for a new battery

It is not stupid at all. Replacing the batteries in many DAPs requires technical skills beyond those of your average user. In some cases (such as in that of the Sansa Clip), the device is built so that the battery cannot be replaced without actually breaking the player. And in addition, it is not always easy to find replacement batteries, especially for older models.

This is an evil trend that is meant to force users to buy more and more, even if their players remain satisfactory to them. And it is bad consumerism and environmentally wrong to submit to this trend.

Totally agreed, though I think market pressures for rediculously compact and slim style units often precludes the supermarket AA / AAA battery type of replacement.

Sadly, it looks like the iriver T60 is in the throwes of biting the dust, so that is another perfectly good AAA battery player soon to be obsolete.
