I have quite a few extensions:
  1. All-In-One Sidebar — Managed everything from the sidebar.
  2. BugMeNot — Access BugMeNot account info with the right-click-menu
  3. Card Games — When bored a card game is nice. I like the double solitary
  4. ChromEdit — For access to the user files
  5. Copy Plain Text — Can be quite useful
  6. Greasemonkey — Add JS script to pages. This is essential (to me) and extremely useful!
  7. IE Tab — not all pages support Fx
  8. Menu Editor — To remove unwanted stuff from the menues
  9. OpenBook — Useful when adding bookmarks
  10. Platypus — Used to remove or alter objects of websites. It makes a Greasemonkey script
  11. Sage — RSS reader. Not great but I know no better RSS reader for Fx.
  12. Search Keys — when using google you can click 1 to access the first result 2 to access the second result etc.
  13. SpellBound — Spell checker.
  14. Stop-or-Reload button — Merge stop and reload buttons
  15. Viamatic foXpose — If you have a lot of tabs opened it can be used to see a thumbnail of all the pages. A similar feature is found in IE7 (I think).

On my PC: Tab Mix Plus, and if I go back to a standard release, Spellbound.

On slow PCs: Adblock and Flashblock.

Adblock and Tabbrowser are all I use. I used to use Mouse Gestures but it annoyed the hell outta me!

True, although Firefox on it's own still has its fair share of memory leaks.

Is there an extension available to turn off all webpage sounds? It really annoys me when I'm listening to good music and working with a webpage in the background, when the ad on that page changes to something with audio screaming in my ears.

I've searched a bit and found nothing useful...suggestions much appreciated!

I think the key is to only install the extensions that you need and use. I have four installed: NoScript, Adblock, Forecastfox and MinimizeToTray. These extensions are really the reason I prefer Firefox to other browsers. In particular, I love being to able to surf the web without the all the annoying ads.

Opera... It sucks how opera isn't so easily customized, but it's the greatest stock browser imho, and the quickest.

I use the following:

Define Word: Quick way to search for definitions of certain words on Dictionary.com, Wikipedia etc. One of my "most used and recommended" extensions.

AutoForm: Self Explanatory

Fetch Text URL: Makes it a breeze to open links that are not formatted as hyperlinks.

Fire FTP: Self Explanatory

IE View: Helps a lot with certain web sites scripted solely for IE users.. like microsoft.com

TorrentBar: I use this on occassion.

MapIt !: This extension is very useful to quickly map any address on webpages without manually typing it on Google Maps and such. Very convenient.

I highlight the desired word and right click on it to bring up the menu. It gives you an options to search the definition on sources like Google, Yahoo, Wordsmyth.net, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia.org, acronymfinder.com etc..

Very convenient.

No, is that a feature of a new beta version or something?
