No, thank you.

I uninstalled all of my extensions and themes. Plain FireFox. Over with ThunderBird, I just have the EnigMail extension installed. That is it.

Performance is back to normal. Useability is very high. I no longer have to fight with NoScript or TabMix Plus by saving my preferences all of the time which got to be annoying. I also do not need AdBlock Plus because I do not mind advertisements on websites. Sometimes, they can point me to a new idea or product that I had not even considered.

I recommend people to uninstall their extensions to boost performance, stability, and usability. I can not say that uninstalling or installing certain extensions will improve security since I have learned that personal decisions often play a bigger role in desktop security more than the extensions themselves.

Try to create a new profile with no extensions or themes. Use it for a little while. I think you will love it. If not, use your regular profile with all of the extensions and themes.

Totally agree with you here, Extensions are great but a lot of them slow Firefox down so much it's incredible.

The only extension I truly need is Tab Mix Plus. I much much much prefer having search results (from the search box) open in a new tab.

Firefox 2.0 has assimilated quite alot of the features that I previously needed extensions for. So plain vanilla isn't too bad these days.

I also use Fasterfox, though I'm not really sure whether it helps. Might just be my imagination.

Ad block
Spell checker
Foxgame
Flashtracer
Mediaplayer connectivity
Mouse gestures
No squint
No script
Tab overflow scrollbar
Torrent searchbar
Tabmix plus

No squint is vital on this 32" screen otherwise all my pages end up different sizes

Thanks for your listing! I don't normally have many extensions installed in Firefox as I like to keep it running as small as possible and keep the bloat out but the number of times I end up upping the font size so that I can see on my monitor with the resolution that I run. I had to check out what that No Squint was and as soon as I saw the description I realised that this is exactly what I could do with!!

Thanks.

Glad i could be of help, I had it on a previous firefox but upgraded to 2.0 and it became a chore holding the ctrl button and using the mouse wheel to adjust every webpage

A lot of that is to block out adverts from various games i have otherwise it would be half that amount

Tab Mix Plus and Mouse Gestures are absolutely indispensable to me.
