Motherboard capacitor

I started removing components from an old pc and there is one capacitor right near the AGP locking slot. I pushed it and it nearly ripped off...
I have some old electronics so I'm looking for a 6.3v 300uf capacitor. I found one rated at 6.3v 420uf. Would this work? What about something rated higher like 16v?

Yes, a higher voltage and/or capacitance will work just fine IMO.

In most cases it should be fine, but I do believe there are cases where capacitors are chosen specifically for size, and/or they can be matched with other capacitors on a motherboard which can cause instability.
