You are correct about my preference for more detail. The GS-1000 does very well on classical guitar *Bream will sound wonderful* - but the HD650 does very well too. It will be two different viewpoints. If you can't keep them both, given your taste, you will most likely keep the HD650 - so buy used so you don't lose much trying them out
