Hi,

I love my STAX L700 setup for sitting down and really appreciate my music library. Now i am looking for a more portable option preferably closed back for my more engaging and energetic genre's of music(ex Sons Of Kemet, Dub Inc, Chemical Brothers, Faithless,...). Emphasis on a dynamic sound with great punch and slam in the low end. I would want to pair it with my newly aquired Hiby R6 Pro.

My budget is sub 1000 euro

Any suggestions?

Campfire Cascade could be one. I really love it. Needs proper burn in, at first its bass is too much

Would like to know that as well. All closed backs i had till today sucked compared to open ones. Especially if you're coming from something like a L700. So don't expect too much. Heard good things about the Aeon flow closed 2 and will try it soon so maybe take that into consideration.

I would think the Fostex TH/TR series or EMU Teak cans would fit the bill of 'engaging' closed-back, even though they're not completely closed-back (semi-open). Only other option I could think of is the Campfire Cascade mentioned by another member here.
