As the title suggests, which headphones have you ever heard is the most involving and most emotional. For me, it's the W11JPN. I haven't heard any so far that gets me into the music with such strong emotions and involvement than the W11JPN.

For me, they take me to another world where I wouldn't have to analyze anything and just be there with the music itself. I guess runner up would be W10VTG. Still would love to own an L3000 some day in the far future.

HP-1000s - never heard headphones present music so overhwlemingly naturally - like looking through a wide open window into the sound, mixing metaphors, but without the usual shortcomings of mere neutrality - I wish they still made them!

DX 1000 and Pro 900 but totally different emotions so hard to pick the winner

It´s really interesting how some headphones have emotion and others not. Anyone figured out the formulae how to make a headphone with lots of emotion?

When it presents the music in such a beautiful manner that it makes you cry.

The really transparent ones do that to me: K-1000, HP-2, DT48, and, sometimes, the MDR-SA5000. I haven't spent much time with them, but I think the OmegaII would, too.

And the Quad ESL-63s do it easily.

Kees modded Pro 900 is incredibly sweet and sentimental but it reigns in the bass (good for most people, not for me

), if I ever get over my fascination of how bassy the Pro 900 can get I'll keep it in Kees mod mode.

Or laugh.

I think the goosebump factor comes to mind. For me, my SR200 (w/HP1000 drivers) is the most involving (emotionally) and natural sounding headphone out of my bunch. No peaks or valleys in it's FR. My RS-1 (w/flat pads) would come in second. K701 is involving but somehow fails to touch the soul. GS1000 is involving, can touch the soul but wants a diamond ring.

K400 – to my ears, they had a level of finesse and sophistication, without being too grandiose, that really made me feel things happening in the music.

The sheer bass pressure and aggressivity in the DT 770 PRO 80ohm gets me going any time.

My very limited experience with the HP-3 was very eye-opening. The orthodynamics seem to be a peculiar breed, with a really engaging sound.

The one time I listened to the DT48, it made me sit absolutely still for several hours. Involving, though on a very different level.
