I'd pick Beethoven's piano sonata No. 8 "Pathetique". After all, the word itself means feeling of passion and sorrow.

"Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic. Played with incredible emotion by the late, great EDDIE HAZEL. Rumor has it (and with Parliament/Funkadelic rumor always has it!), George Clinton instructed Eddie to play like his mother had just died. To this day, this song is still played by an army of guitarists in Clinton's touring band!

Beethoven Piano Sonata no 14 (Moonlight) 1st mvt
Elgar's Cello Concerto - 1st mvt
Vaughan Williams fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis
Adagio from Mahler's 5th

Already half a cheesy romantic classic sampler

Jimi Hendrix, Bold As Love (Instrumental)

Listen to it NOW. The way he can speak with his guitar is incredible.

It's hard to find as its on the Box Set, though
