Most Comfortable Headphones?

I like the comfort of the Ultrasone Proline 750 closed cans, which have similar velour earcups in open-can versions in the Proline 2500 and HFE-2200 models. I wear headphones 6 to 14 hours at a stretch, so comfort is very important, and these definitely deliver. I do wear glasses also, BTW.

Precide Ergo 2s for me... I find them more comfortable than my 595s or the 590s... almost like not wearing headphones.

The most comfortable headphones I have ever tried are the Stax Omega II.
I can wear them for hours without any discomfort

Beyerdynamic DT-990s, followed by Sony CD-3000 (though the Sonys can get quite warm after a while on a hot day).

I have owned many many headphones and none of them are as light or comfortable as the full size Koss UR40. I also really like the sound that they have. It many not be audiophile but they sure are fun sounding. I wear the UR40 many nights all night listening to Movies for hours on end.

The Sony MDR-F1 are pretty much the best that there is with a combination of magnesium alloy frame and that whilst being circumaural, there is a big gap between the pad and the driver assembly (like a crude version of the AKG K1000) - Light and easy to forget that you're wearing them...

...Other than that, I find the (2003) Beyer DT880s to be pretty effortless to wear

We're all very different as I find Senns very uncomfortable after about half an hour. But then, I find the notoriously painful Stax 003 very comfy so who knows...

Well, I had or still have hd600, sa5k, w5k, dt880, dt770, 7509, k-701, dt2000, sr-125, sr-325, ms-pro and the winner will be dt-880, followed by mdr-7509.

I avoided portables here.

Are you serious? I have the 280-pro, and although I do find it okay, I would never ever consider them in a 'most comfortable headphones' poll.

Order (decreasing) in terms of comfort, of full size cans that I've owned

Sony MDR-F1
Sennheiser HD590 (super comfortable and super light weight)
Sennheiser HD595
Audio Technica AD900
Beyerdynamic DT880 (demo'd)
AKG K701
Audio Technica A900LTD
Ultrasone Proline 750 (demo'd)
Beyerdynamic DT770
Grado SR-225
Goldring DR150 (mostly because the ear pads were small)
