I am enjoying the LP, but I am tempted to add this DAC. Does anyone have any experience with it, paired with the LP?monoprice dac is also on sale right now for 479 usd. The lowest I've seen it so far was 499 usd.

I hope I get a good one as it doesn’t look like a replacement is possible.

Considering how many of these have sold, and recently, if there were systemic problems it would be well known. Not many complaints.I hope I get a good one as it doesn’t look like a replacement is possible.

I have a full stack (LP DAC, LP, LauX). The best part is that they stack, which helps significantly with space vs my previous DACs. It does nothing wrong, and I do enjoy it. Go for it if you don't mind paying a slight premium for stacking and want a good delta sigma DAC.I am enjoying the LP, but I am tempted to add this DAC. They look like the stack awesome. Especially the way they are shaped and vent. No trapped heat.

Monoprice recently had the Liquid Spark amp go out of stock. And it's due for new availability around June 23. So they've done another manufacturing run for that little Cavalli amp. Let's hope for the same with the Liquid Platinum.

From the website a few minutes ago.
[There is no caption for ‘Notify Me’, no ‘out of stock’ or ‘ETA’ reference …. order to your heart’s content ….]

Monoprice employee discovers where the missing Liquid Platinums are stored in the warehouse thought to be out of stock, and updates the website accordingly.

I don't have one, but going to modify for a friend.I went straight to those three capacitors that he has listed, the only difference is that I chose capacitors with the same voltage rating as the stock capacitors (63v, 25v, 25v). This was partly because it's what Ksorota (original modder, I think) recommended. Should've gone for the higher voltage rating to be safer but it really shouldn't be an issue on the long run. Attaching links to where I bought them below. The mod itself isn't hard but do it with patience, some of the contact points on the pcb are small, so its hard to heat up the wire on the capacitor and the contact to get a proper solder connection. You don't want to apply too much heat for too long in case you damage the contact points. This is only an issue with the three smaller capacitors, the big guys have big solder points that are easy to work with. I bought two extra 470uf and 10uf so that I could install the ones that were more matched/similar in terms of actual capacitance values after testing with a multimeter. Also had to sand the legs with 220 grit (what I had available) on the nichicon muse kz 100uf capacitor because they were too thick for the contact points on the pcb. Definitely recommend the upgrade.
I assume the voltages are the same as higher capacity are larger - and there is not room. If room its always better to use larger voltages - true in crossovers, tuners, and kit amps.
I would not try to extract and re-solder, much easier to snip the leads at the base of the cap and and use a crimp sleeve to avoid damaging the board. The wires are tinned no oxidation happening as long as the cut leads are .3" or more.
Any more comments on why its a good thing?

The current promo code valid for the Liquid Platinum is "we lied about it being out of stock so we could cancel your order that had an additional 15% YAY15 discount and now you have to place a new order at the sale price without the additional 15% discount". They lied. It was never out of stock.
I ordered an additional Liquid Platinum during the YAY15 promo to use in another room in another system. And they canceled the amp from the order. The good news is I also ordered a $4 HDMI cable along with the amp. And now they're sending me a $4 HDMI cable via FedEx with free shipping. It certainly cost them more than $4 to ship the HDMI cable via FedEx. So they've lost money on that sale.

You might want to reach out to customer support with your original order number. Maybe they will honor the sale price and original discount code. Even if they cannot honor the original code, I have heard of Monoprice customer service reps having a special code they can give, though I don’t know how much it discounts. The current promo code valid for the Liquid Platinum is "we lied about it being out of stock so we could cancel your order that had an additional 15% YAY15 discount and now you have to place a new order at the sale price without the additional 15% discount". It's still a BS way to treat customers. If they had bothered to look at my order history for headphone gear they'd have seen I've spent over $3000 over the past 5 years. And I've bought a good portion of that at full price (no sale, no discount code). I bought a Liquid Platinum on the day of release at full price. I bought a Liquid Gold at full price on the day of release. And the Liquid Spark at full price. And other headphone gear. And this is how they treat a customer like that who spends money with them and doesn't just shop the sales and special promotions.

I doubt that is Monoprice strategy or plan. Because in March, Monoprice had $340 + 15% off. I believe on 2 separate occasions with different discount codes. (I bought one at 15% off.) So why would they honor that in March and then try to back out of that now? Doesn't make sense. The current promo code valid for the Liquid Platinum is "we lied about it being out of stock so we could cancel your order that had an additional 15% YAY15 discount and now you have to place a new order at the sale price without the additional 15% discount".
