Just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to offer some advice to this headphones newbie.
After a LOT of reading based on the suggestion offered here I landed on the Focal Clear MG for reasons of the reportedly better musicality, punch and deeper base described compared to the soundstage of the HD800S.
Picked up an open box pair for a good price and they arrived on Wednesday, as did the Mola Mola.
Still burning in both but suffice to say I've spent a lot of my free time listening to music with a wide smile on my face for both speakers and cans
Initial headphone sessions are very promising and it's clearly gonna be great to have this option.
Thanks again for all the input as I'm convinced it's resulted in me buying a better pair of headphones than I'd have chosen on my own.
