New Head-Fier
Hello:
As above, my system was having issues during playback.
I am using MOJO strictly as a Desktop DAC with an Audio Server, Amp and Towers.
At seemingly random times, music playing from my Audio Server would hang JRiver 26, requiring a system reboot.
To make a rather long story much shorter, I read that certain fridge compressors can discharge a rather powerful RF signal when they kick OFF.
That is what was happening with my system and a nearby bar fridge.
MOJO now lives under a solid copper bowl (Faraday Cage?) and there are no longer any music stoppages, ever.
I contacted Chord with this information as I had read some people were having issues with portable devices and suggested maybe a lined copper-foil pouch would prevent issues much like my copper bowl prevented mine.
Chord's response was due to the mains construction in the UK it was difficult/impossible to repeat the issues some were having.
Though this might help others out.
PS I'm using MOJO strictly as a Desktop DAC; and QUTEST will replace it shortly.
Hopefully it will be a nice upgrade.
