Any suggestions for a modern DAP that has the ability to bypass it's built in amp? Looking for something with neutral sound.

Not sure how small you want but the Shanling M3 Ultra has a line out.

Pretty sure it is the standard 2 volts single ended and 4 volts from the 4.4mm balanced.

I have used mine into an Astell and Kern PA10 portable amplifier, an EarMen ST-Amp both from the 4.4mm and into a couple of little Schiit amps from the 3.5mm into RCA.

Seems like a lot of the small ones don't have dedicated line outs. Especially on the "smaller players"

A comment on the HiBy products: almost all of them have volume control on the line out. That doesn't mean they are not true line outs, that just means they have volume control on their line outs... (which is an especially desirable feature, if your amp has limited or no volume control. e.g. a lot of amps have channel imbalance near the bottom of their volume knob volume levels.)

Ibasso Dx200/220/240/260 all have true line out. Cayin and Hiby lines up as well
Plus one for ibasso dx2xx line, the line outs are epic AF. Especially amp5mod and amp7.
