No, the old version had lower-quality SMD caps in those positions.
The caps are for safety -- not every batch of AD1852s will have low DC-offset, even though most probably will.

I'd be spending at least three times as much to get an external DAC that's up to the task.
ALthough, I would prefer an upgrade to the internal DAC of my Grace.

The new E-MU 1212M seems interesting, it beats the mighty LynxTwo in some of the measurments.

But made by Creative, right? I would have a hard time trusting it. Furthermore, it just seems doubtful that a $200 card will be better than a $800 one, even if the measurements are better. The Revo can measure better than the RME, but that doesn't really mean squat for real sound quality.
