Order 8878 ... Nov 24 ... I think I was the last of Nov orders or close to it...
Dang. Here I thought I should be coming up soon with my Jan 5th order. Guess not!

Is someone else noticing some crinkling noises when lifting the cups to adjust them or getting the phones off your head?
Is this normal?
Can you check if it’s glued down properly? I recalled some Quality problems with the early batches that required them to glue down some parts because the screws were loose. You’ll have to do a quick search.

Any idea how the Mimic Audio orders are handled in comparison to the Modhouse direct orders?
I ordered through Mimic on Nov 11 during Dallas CanJam, but not a peep since then.
Any updates on your order? What’s your order number from mimic audio?

Yep, I did email Mimic about a week back and got this response from TJ

"Hey there,
You’re approximately 4th in line currently, so I’m hoping I’ll have it out by end of month."

Fingers crossed for the end of May!

So ModHouse prioritizes their own orders before Mimic Audio. Good to know.

Uhm what part should be glued down or is prone to get loose?

I believe there were screws that secure the headphone drivers in place. The first batch had problem of it being too loose. So subsequent ones are now glued down after screwed down. Not sure if your issue is the drive not being secured down or not.

Place #6 washers under these points and you have a permanent solution for the air gap. Hello sub bass.

These headphones are officially my endgame.

I think November orders are an outlier. It shouldn't be used as a reference, IMO.

I say this because at the time I ordered from Mimic (early Jan), the ETA was 10-14 weeks, which implies to me that Ryan thought he would be getting to all orders (via his website and Mimic) close to equally. Of course, that ETA changed to 20-24 weeks when I followed up a couple months ago.

Also, I'm just coping.

Is this a DS only mod or something that sounds better on SS as well?

It should change both versions in similar ways. Like others have noted, you can easily try it out yourself by just twisting the pads so they are not set into the designated holes to see if you like the effect.
Word; appreciate it. I miss some of the posts in this thread bc frankly I am ready for MINE already lol.

If it adds sub bass without losing detail i can already tell you im a fan
