well ive been listening to it for a while, and i really like this little amp, i just got my LOD and its sounds great, but ive noticed, if you go beyond 1/2 volume on my akg's it starts to clip, and distort, but i dont get anyway near those levels, it is just and observation.

Thanks again for the sample. I would have done some OpAmp swapping if I had kept mine as I was hoping for a bit more from it. Of course, I don't use cans on the go so my need was not high but it didn't improve on the touch with IEMs. It was a very welcome addition to someone I met that had a bad channel in their Ipod. Cost me a battery. I enjoyed the mints.

You're using K518s?

yes i am, i havent the funds to upgrade yet. but i do like them, sturdy and with the mods i have done, are fairly balanced now. great entry can. do you like you K81's?

i think the clipping may be due to the small caps included in the kit, because with a prebuilt cmoy i had, it didnt have this problem.

ive also ordered 2 different op amps to try with it.
