MiniMAX Case group-buy is ON!

I am wrapping up my 2nd DIY project, a PPAv2. Which should I do next, the MilletMax or a Soha II? I figure I can justify one of them to the wife since they are both at least "half tube". If you all think it should be the MilletMax then I am in.

A little unrelated to the group-buy

Both are great and somewhat different from each other, in sound, in design and definitely in the fact that Millet has output caps, SOHA2 does not.

Although they're both tube hybrids, that's where the similarity ends. They're really two different things and aim at different niches for DIY headphone amps. The Millett MAX, and now the Millett MiniMAX, uses no more than a 24VAC walwart. No line-voltage power wiring or high-voltage tube supply is involved.

Millett Hybrid MiniMAX Custom Machined Enclosure

Group-Buy

tomb has kick-started a group buy for a fantastic custom machined enclosure what will allow unparallel integration for anyone building a MiniMAX. The case is based on the Lansing DT1 enclosure, but altered to include tube holes, cooling slots on top, bottom, and both sides, with punched and silkscreened endplates.

Are the tube bias test points on the case meant to allow the user to adjust tube bias without opening the case? I take it two of the vents line up with the bias pots allowing them to be adjusted externally.
Did I get that right?

Yep. The regular MAX had adjustment capability across the board without opening the case - voltage, both tubes, and both buffer biases. However, there's just not enough room back there on the Mini for anymore tip jacks. Besides, the only one you really need to change on a regular basis is the tube bias (at least every time you change tubes).
