I'd like to make a mini to mini interconnect.

Looking at a 4 wire litz braid terminated with canare F12 mini plugs.

I was going to purchase mil spec 28 AWG silver plated copper teflon wire from navships (ebay) and had a few questions:
  1. Is 28 AWG a good choice ?
  2. Is SPC going to sound harsh in any way ?
  3. Any other wire choices ? No expensive cryo brio please

You can fit 4 braided wires in 28ga into a Switchcraft with ease. The tightest fit I have gotten using a Switchcraft plugs is using the 20ga vampire wire in a 3 wire braid configuration. Options for wire pretty much depend on what kind you want(Solid/Stranded, Copper/Silver specfic size) I know that I will be making a mini to mini tommrow with some gold plated copper wire that I got from Navships on ebay myself, and am planing on making a RCA Cable set using the Juputer wire. And I have a few feet of the Jena labs wire that I plan on making something with.(Side note the most expencive wire I have used was Vampire's 20ga stranded silver wire. It cost about 8 dollars a foot.)

Thanks for the inputs guys.

I got some mogami 2534 for one interconnect. Hope to build another one with the SPC wire.
