3A 250V Slow Blow and take the fried one with you so you can compare as a precaution. The numerals on the fuse won't be in Chinese BTW

Glad you figured it out! Let us know more of your impressions as you get more head time. im also curious about how this Mingda can drive speakers. I assume that with some klipsch/altec horns this would sound sweet.
where did you order from?

FWIW - I've never had a problem with mine from day one ..........so your comments made me go take a look at my fuse. Stock in my Ming Da is 1.5Amp, 250Volt.....none have been blown.........no knowledge of Chinese needed

*DEFINITELY* effects the sound, much more than I expected. Supposedly the this tube, which is a 6HU6/EM87, is used as a rectifier tube as well as the "magic eye" function.

You can get nice NOS 6HU6 tubes for not too much money. As best I can tell, this type of tube was only ever made in England, Germany, and Austria (except for the current production Chinese version). All of the European versions sound good. Even my Sylvania-branded 6HU6's say "Made in England", and my Tung-Sols are "Made in W. Germany".
