No never, I don't live the feeling of closebacks.
In that case Empyrean II seems to be a great choice.

Otherwise The Liric is also a super comfortable fun headphone

In one category the Empy II beats any other headphone I heard: Presentation of vocals! This makes me speechless.
The volume, depth, timbre, position, location and how its embedded into the other soundings/instruments is top notch! I'm not talking about vocal-details, its more about how vocals are harmonized with the whole ensemble.

Interesting take. Have you heard the OG empyrean? I wonder, given the physical similarity with the new empy (same construction, same diaphragm, etc) if the OG could actually be EQ’d to sound very close to the II.

Never had the chance yet. But the divers of the Empy II are Elite ones, right?
No they are not, Empyrean and Elite have different drivers

Is the technical ability of the new Empyrean 2 better than the Elite?
