Headphoneus Supremus
Hey, does anyone have history with BOTH of these headphones? I'm torn between the two and can't make up my mind. They kind of sound pretty similar going by reviews (sound wise). Build quality isn't an issue as they both look great.
I like a smooth but detailed signature with good sub bass depth that plays nice and i hate overly bright cans. I don't like mids too in your face and not a fan of thin vocals.
Favourite closed back sets to date are Yamaha Mt220 and Soundmagic HP100. I also have a soft spot for the small Yamaha HPH-200 open back which do a lot right and really should be more popular.
I'll be using solely at home. I play thru Cambridge Audio Dacmagic XS2 DAC going in to Topping NX2. (I am in the process of researching a more powerful (still cheap) setup.
