Hello,

anyone drive this 109 Pro with some dac/amp dongle? I'm personally considering the Ibasso DC-Elite + 109 Pro combination

regards,
Simon
109 Pro + FiiO BTR7 (LDAC 990/909kbps) = sounds great to me! :)

I use the Cayin RU6 in oversampling mode, which gives me an extra bit of sharpness in the details

It's been a while since I last listened to these beauties, I had almost forgotten how good they sound:

thats a cute little dac you got there
as much i want to love my 660s 2.
the 109 wins with comfort and the full bodied sound

i am curious what are you guys mostly listen with your 109?
i am very in to electronic music/trance/psy trannce or some hardstyle, but also some rap and heavy metal work so good on them

I'm mostly a rock listener - so pop-punk, post-hardcore, metalcore etc...

Interesting how versatile these cans are for various styles. I'm very much into the folk styles of music like alternative country, blues, and jazz. The full bodied sound as you mentioned previously is really enjoyable with these genres.

It sure is one of the (if not the) best looking headphones in existence. I really wanted to like it and was ready to buy it as my only 'higher end' headphone but after listening to it twice with a selection of some very expensive (and lower end) amplifiers I felt disappointed.

Perhaps I will try it again in the future. Meze really got it right with regards to design and I like my (revised) 99.

At the time of the first audition I preferred the 660S2 but didn't pursue that either as it seemed too close to my 58 Jubilee for nearly 4 times the cost. Saying that, the 109 Pro's looks surpasses it's cost, the Sennheisers doesn't.

800 Euros is a lot of money for me and any headphone would have to be substantially (subjectively for me) better, or at least different than what I already have. My humble collection is low end admittedly but I enjoy all of them.
