Meze Audio 109 Pro

To me, the Arya Organic are on par with the 109 Pro (perhaps slightly better in some aspects, but also slightly worse in areas like dynamics). However, if someone is looking to an upgrade, I believe the HE-1000SE it’s a better choice.
I went from 109 Pro to HE1000 Stealth and it is very far from a sidegrade.
Pretty massive upgrade.
And yes He1000 is better than Arya Organic as well.

I traded my 109 Pro's for an older set of Arya's.
I have always been curious about the Arya's and am looking forward to comparing them against the HE6se V2's.

IMO it's a step up. A different flavor as well bc they're planars.

That said I still love my 109s and i still listen to them at times.

I liked the 109's fine, but I never loved them. Hopefully the Arya's will at the very least, be something different.

I have been auditioning the T+A Solitaire T with the IFI Gryphon using the USB C to either the Iphone 14 Pro Maz and AK SE 300 (connecting via the USB C out) and getting great results, (waiting for delivery of the Wywires Platinum headphone cable, 3.5mm, source). During this audition, I connected the 109's using Wywires Platinum headphone cables (3.5mm) directly to the AK SE 300 and then using the IFI Gryphon connected to the SE 309 via USB C. I have found the Wywires cable a great improvement over the stock cable in both instances -- however, very impressed with using the SE 300 as the streaming source connected to the USB C on the Gryphon for Qobuz and Tidal.

anyone here with a long term review?
i have mine for a year now and i can say i love them
the pads are just so comfy and soft
and for me they sound fantastic it really seems like the treble tamed down a little after using them more and more (or i just got used to it i don't know)

these are the first headphones i could wear for hours without any discomfort.

I've got a fantastic copper cable for the 109, but I can't fit the phones in the case and then be able to close it with the cable connected. So, I take the cables off and attach them again once they're out of the case. I don't think that really makes for a wear and tear issue on the connections. What do you all think? Thanks.

To me, it's easier to keep them in slightly opened case, than to plug/unplug the cables every time:

That's what I do unless I store them away for longer
