Not sure wether I could use them with Envy?
Guess I could try Rai Penta tomorrow
@ThanatosVI unfortunately Envy is too powefull and you will have some noise... I've been using 3 desktop amps with IEMs: ifi Pro iCan (before wen bust), AurouraSound HEADA, Chord TT2.

As for Rai Penta I think they are definitively worth checking out if you still can get them :)

I own the Rai Penta, just always thought about adding the Advar (at least back then when I was frequently commuting and used IEMs)

However my Desktop setup seems to be too powerfull/noisy for IEMs then :(

I tried, Rai Penta is way too sensitive for my Envy setup.
Probably better power cable, power conditioner might help a bit.

AE might be better, I am looking forward to hear about the results.

@Newsee I higly doubt any of those tweaks could get you there... maybe with exception of some tube rolling but I would still put my bets on IEMatch rather ;) Nevertheless I would think Envy is an overkill for most of IEMs including Advar or Rai Penta. I haven't heard IEMs that could really compete on Envy with Susvara, HR10P, T+A Solitaire P or P-SE, Meze Empys/Elites.

Well, sensitive IEMs are for low power devices, but can be misused to show noise floor of powerful devices.

Rai Penta sounds amazing out of my LG V60. No noise. It is a pity that LG stopped producing phones.

Hi, would appreciate some tips from Advar owners about cleaning the mesh filter from earwax. After some use I now have major channel imbalance on the left, which surprisingly can be fixed with a balance slider, without audio quality loss. But still. I suspect the audio imbalance is due to earwax gunk, or worse, static electricity messed it up some days ago.

You have to figure out a way to remove the mesh. Bottom line is need to clean it out before it comes to that. I find that running a dry as possible alcohol soaked q-tip through the removed tips and a little rub on the mesh gets it done nicely as long as it isn’t allowed to build up too much. Good luck with it.
