Meet The FiiO M7: An Exynos 7270-Powered HiFi Music Player
May 28, 2020 at 2:23 AM Post #706 of 792
Hello, I just got a M7 for myself, and after updating the firmware to the latest one (1.08), is there any way to pair the M7 with an Android phone for Fiio Link? As the M7 is not showing up in the android app, but the M7 is already connected as a bluetooth sink to the phone streaming in LDAC.

P.S: is there also a way to choose the bluetooth sink "mode"? as I am currently changing between LDAC and SBC every time I connect.
Thanks a bunch!
1. For the useage of Bluetooth FiiO Link function, you could read this video for help:
2. Do you mean the Bluetooth codec when using the M7 as Bluetooth amp? If you mobile phone support LDAC Bluetooth codec, it could connect to the M7 via LDAC automatically.

Best regards

When using FM Radio on M7 with Sennheiser IE 500 Pro, a lot of microphonics happening while walking. Is this normal with M7's FM usage with any IEM cable?
Hi,

Are there any Wifi or other interference nearby?

Best regards

Any tips on using the M7 in USB DAC mode in Linux via a USB 3.0 port? currently running Linux Mint Debian Edition 4 on an Thinkpad X240, and the USB DAC shows up and plays music, but with a very noticeable delay (probably about 0.5s to 1s), making it unusable to watch movies/youtube videos with.

any help is appreciated, thanks

That's it. I am totally fed up with my M7. I patiently tried and tried to get my device to just operate using basic functions and I cannot seem to get anywhere. The File Management app doesn't start at all. The FiiO Music app craps out in the middle of half of the songs I play. I have rebooted, reloaded firmware, etc. and still there are problems. After doing a bunch of research for a bit more upscale DAP I have decided to get a Hiby R5. If any of you think a different device would be better, then please let me know why. No FiiO recommendations please. I...am...done with them. Thank you.

Follow-up. FiiO customer service continued to make suggestions to fix my File Management issue
until I got it working again. I am now quite happy with my M7 (especially now that I have paired it with Blon-03 IEMs). I wish to express my sincere thanks to FiiO for their patience and expertise.

Dear user,

Sorry to hear about that. Did you ever try a factory restore for check again? And does your issue happen in certain music file? If yes, please send your music file to us for check.

I have recently bought an M7 to replace a Shanling M0, the M0 was finding it difficult to cope with some files. I had an X5 some years ago that was great, but the M7 is even better. I updated the firmware to the latest iteration and loaded a 256gb card with DSD and high res files. The M7 is connected to an ifi DSD and then on to a range of earbuds and other headphones, I am very pleased with the sound and the capabilities of the machine. Thank you Fiio!

I am proud to say it is my original MicroDSD, i also have my first NanoDSD which also works, but the interconnect is substantially longer.

Thanks! Oldtimers, but I'm happy that they still serve you well. Enjoy!

Does anyone think the M7 is a worthy upgrade to the M3K?

I love the look of it and I like the Bluetooth support and USB-C, but I know it's also supposed to have less amp power.

I am or will be using Tribit Xfree Tune BT, Oneodio (Yenona / OneAudio) studio pro-50, Superlux hd681 evo, Gemini HSR1000 (Takstar Pro 80) and maybe the Fidelio X2HR. I think those are all easy to drive so it may not matter?
