Just ordered my P1's from Amazon last night and I should have them on Sunday. I've done TONS of online research in these forums and elsewhere, and I'm excited – I'm hoping I've made a good decision and that these will be my "end-game" IEM's. I'll be pairing them with my iBasso DX80, which, from what I've heard, is a very sweet combination.

I'll post back with some impressions once I have them burned in – I'm figuring that 48 hours should do it.

I actually haven't tried Rx with P1 yet. I've been using it with Cayin N5, Shanling N5, and Soundaware Esther Analog. I'll give Rx + P1 a listen later and check back in. Using N5 as a C5 surrogate, I like the pairing sonically but am afraid C5 will be too powerful for P1.

I'm kinda side-eyeing on the RX amplifier. Would it be substantially better than Fiio E12A, or should I ultimately jump on the Mojo bandwagon as a surrogate to both?

While I do like the Cayin C5 I think it's just too powerful for the average IEM.

Can I drive these with a regular ipod? I know it's recommended that I use an amp, but for now I will just use my 4th gen ipod. I mean I was able to drive the vsonic gr07 mk2 pretty well with the same ipod, and both IEMs have the same impedance.

You can get the volume that you need with an ipod. You probably will have a comfortable listening level at around 50-60% volume. However it will not sound as nice as coming from an amp. It's especially noticeable with the bass - it'll sound much looser coming straight from the ipod.

I know that answers may vary from one person/ear to another BUT: What is your favorite tip so far with the P1?
 
I'm using the bigger double flange.
