There are only 10 left as I just ordered one. It is $5 more than the pair I ordered from Digital Foto Club. Beach claims to have them in stock and DFC doesn't. I just was able to confirm that they received my order. I will confirm later that it is shipping today, then cancel the other order.

I just ordered one from BeachAudio too and there are like 8 left it said. Can't wait to get it! I really miss my CD3k's so if this is an improvement on those, it can't be bad.

I bought SA1000 last sunday in the aftermath sony mania.They shipped on monday.But since they are shipping from Phoenix AR it shall take a week to reach me at new england.

I sent the SA5000s to tyrion for evaluation and I only have PsychoZX's SA1000 with me right now.

Very very nice sound! These things present detail in an absurdly addictive manner...if you love acoustic guitar - this is your ticket to some stunning performances. Even old disks that youve run through a MILLION times will sound new!

Does anyone find this odd or coincidental?

Last night, when the SA5k showed up on beachaudio, there were exactly 12 in stock.

Today, both etronics and trio stores claim to each have 12 in stock.

Are all these people getting their stuff from the same warehouse? Could it be that some update their inventory more frequently?

I have talked to the guy at Beachaudio.com. I asked him where did they get the SA5000, and he told me they got those from Sony USA. So I think the phones are officially released to the market now. There should be many stores selling them in a few days.

I honestly hope what you said is not true, otherwise I might get screwed again in my second order. I would guess Sony USA send each store at most 12 phones in the first batch just to be fair.

I just called BeachAudio and they said they had a bunch of orders for the 5000's today and they were backordered now even though it said 4 available on their site. Thankfully, I was the 6th to place an order and got one w00t! I'm not gonna get too excited until I get the shipping number though.
