Went to Yodobashi to check out the MD33s and according to the sales guy, he said that I need to get a cable because it isn't compatible with my MP3 player.

Is he right because I keep hearing that the MD33s already comes with a cable that will let me use any audio devices.

An extension cable comes with the phones and that also makes the 4-pole to 3-pole conversion.

Or if you are handy with a soldering iron, then you can perform the mod which will turn it from a 4 pole to a 3 pole plug. If you are interested, do a search for it in the reviews on the Audiocubes website.

If you buy them brand new, yeah, they should absolutely come with the 4 to 3 conductor(sorry, I don't go by poles, I have strippers wrap around them

) adaptor. Gigabomber, a memeber on this site, showed me his and they were quite interesting- he stuffed cotton into the opening to control the sibilance, but my ears need a dregree of sibilance to hear a flat signal, otherwise things sound 'rolled off' to me.

You can

without paying a fortune,
