Yes unfortunately. We go back a long way since the days of Elise. I must have bought countless adapters from her.

It's incredibly rewarding when someone validate your choices. Oblivion is a lovely sounding amp but so is Ultimate and Odyssey.

In Tomas and Eric, I've the 2 most talented custom amp builders there is and I've gotten to know them so well. I think I have come to the end of my audio journey with this trio.

Somehow a pity, although I didn't buy much from her, she was always a pillar of support.
As far as I know she still has a homepage, maybe she will continue there.

@Deleeh Just received my tubes from Langrex , 1 GEC KT63 is dead on arrival and 1 6K6GT Visseaux has a broken off getter and doesnt work , I think their quality control needs some work but luckily their customer service is excellent

That's sad. They should check the tubes before sending it out. My replacement 5b/254a came and it's ok this time. Again it's a sealed box, so they wouldn't know if the tube is ok inside.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Looks like Langerex didn't get a good Kt63 Gec from the stock they bought.
My first couple of Blackglass one of them was quiet and cracked shortly after switching on.
The 1st replacement pair one tube was dead and didn't work, the 2nd replacement pair both worked but were slightly different in height.
I bought another pair on Ebay from a private seller who still had some for a good price and the pair was fine.
In total I now have 2 working pairs.
Maybe a 3rd pair that is mixed where one tube is black glass and the other is smoked glass.
I still have to try it out.

I am surprised that the Visseux is broken, you should have seen it before packing.
A check before despatch at the latest would be the minimum, but as the service is still good I trust Langerex.
But in fact they could take better care of it.
I think it's a bit of a bummer that you don't get any measured values from the tubes for the matching payment.

I hope they send you a replacement soon, and above all that they still have a few Kt63s.
Otherwise I'll be happy to give you the link to the other Kt63 I bought on Ebay.

yes , Ive been away at work for a month and so many tubes have been delivered . I will try them tomorrow , Disapointed about the GEC KT63 , Langrex has now run out completely and are sending me a Marconi KT63 instead (made by GEC apparently)

Couldn't wait any longer and holy crap they really are a step up , everything goes up a level or 3

. Bigger soundstage , better bass, , nicer midrange , better clarity , definitely in my top 5 and it's not even broken in yet , WOW !! GEC 807 ATS25, GEC A2900, Brimar EZ80 Black Plates. These might be staying in for a while
