Further updates from Eric.

I have completed Hai's Super SupremE, the initial singing good. The quietness ranks best 300B, then 2A3C, then 45.. the humming level depends on tubes. My 45 tubes may not be good? You will see.

Matt's Super UltimatE is also completed, and singing... quiet is it should be as an UltimatE.

Hai's Super Gold Supreme. This is the 2nd Supreme and it's a success.

Specs are:-
Silk output transformers
5 volt rectifiers - direct and indirect
2 x 6J5 or 6SL7 / 6SN7 drivers
300b, 2a3, 45 power tubes
Mundorf Mcap Supreme Silver Gold Oil caps
Miflex kpcu-01 caps
Teflon sockets
Speakers output
1 x xlr input, 2 x rca input
Headphone outputs - 1 Neutrik xlr, 1 Soundcraft 1/4"
Left and right test points
Blue LED light

Initial testing with Chinese 5z4p full wave rectifier, STC 5a/152m drivers, Psvane 300b tubes:-

Susvara - quiet
HD800 - quiet
Grado GH1 - quiet
All 3 headphones are extremely quiet. With no music playing and volume turning from zero to max - not a hiss at all. Incredible. I want this amp.

Tested xlr input, rca input and preamp out to Oblivion. All works as expected.
Headphone output xlr and 1/4 out both works superbly.

Both caps works - superbly.
Switch from STC 5a/152m to Mullard ECC35. Works like a charm. Both drivers are top notch.

Further testing will be conducted with 2a3 and 45 power tubes.

Psvane 2A3C tubes are in next with 596 rectifier and Telefunken EF86. This is where I kiss the ground in reverence at what I am hearing with HD800. Lunch time is beckoning but I can't stop.

As Eric said, with 300b no noise, 2a3 has some very soft hum with Grado and even softer with HD800. With Susvara it's totally quiet. With Bryant's Supreme both 2a3 and 45 tubes are quiet. I think it's this pair of Psvane 2a3c tubes.

However I will not let this 'very very little noise' detract me from enjoying just 'one more song' because it's that good !

Hai should be pleased. He will have more gold than the Egyptian Pharaohs.

Thank you very much Matt, for testing my amp out. You are funny, I may have more fake gold than the Pharaohs and my wallet is empty after the amp and a pair of WE300B.

Oh, i forgot the caps are Mundorf and Jupiter not Miflex.

This pair of 45 tubes is real noisy ! One is Raytheon and the other RCA Cunningham Radiotron. However when music starts, the 45 tone is a force to be reckoned with. Now it's hard to decide whether 300b, 2a3 or 45 sound better because they are all great !

So Hai I suggest you dig into your wallet again and get good pairs of 2a3 and 45 tubes.

Mullard 5U4G, 45 tubes and Telefunken EF86.

I do have 2 pairs of Grado, GS1000i and RS2 vintage buttons. I modded them with removable 3.5 jacks with balanced cables.

Holy moly, you have no idea how good those Grados will sound with Supreme 300b, not just any 300b but Supreme. Firstly it's quiet. Secondly it's Grado with bass ! When you hear Grado with bass, you know something supernatural is at play here. :relaxed:
