I have a question I understand the matrix mini will only do 16/44 on the usb side. Can I access 24/96 files with this device: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teralink-X2-Native-24bit-96k-USB-to-SPDIF-I2S-Converter-/261078617287?pt=US_Home_Audio_Amplifiers_Preamps&hash=item3cc97f8cc7   Or am I misguided.

Yes.  I use my Mini-i in this fashion, just with another converter.

Cheers!!!

The man above is correct. The DAC chip within the Matrix Mini I will accept 24bit 192kHz input, but the USB receiver chip only accepts 16bit 44.1kHz. If you route the data through the SPDIF interface, it will work.

Thank you (everyone) for the help. I must say that little matrix dac packs alot of features.  I understand you can control the volume on a pair of powered studio monitors with it as well, If it had a couple more inputs. It would be near perfect.
