Please advise on thr 2.25v output to the amp, instead of the standard 2v. Is this fine with most of the amps out there?

I think it's just design. Some professional DACs have outputs that are much hotter than that (the Dangerous Music Convert-2 comes to mind).

That being said, the X-Sabre Pro's is only slightly higher and should be fine with most amps; I only mentioned it as a warning so that people hopefully will check their amp's specs before blowing up their house.

I'm in the same boat as you; truly a masterful implementation of the 9038PRO Sabre chips. Although maybe it's not too surprising; I think HF gets more excited over new cans vs. amps/dacs.

On the 'SACD' panel, set the 'ASIO Driver Mode' to 'DSD'.

Edit: the rest of that panel doesn't matter once 'DSD' is selected, at least on the version I'm using.

I did try it. But still DoP came out instead of Native.

Thanks for the help. I just realized that too. Haven't played DSD for a long time since I used Schiit's DACs.

It's more complex to do this Native DSD. Basically DoP has the same exact quality, right? I will just stick with DoP then.

Note that the recent versions of foobar2000 never play DSD in RAW (native).
The SACD decoder plug-in is just an additional layer.

If you compare the playback with and without this plung-in (i.e., DSD RAW and DoP) with your X-Sabre Pro, especially in combination with X-SPDIF 2 with its dip switch No.1 in DoP (the default position), you will recognise a clear difference.

Not sure I understand your point here. It is perfectly possible to send native DSD to a DAC using foobar2000 provided you install the correct plug-ins and follow the procedure I linked to:

Yes, of course, if you specify DSD RAW (native) output.
I refer to the internal process of foobar2000. It supports only DoP in the recent versions, as far as I understand.
