It certainly does for me: clock into the DDC set for EXT. Clock goes via I2S to the DAC set to INT. Both benefit, only one clock connection.
I'm sure even having one clock connection will benefit the entire system.

Maybe for me I'm not seeing as big a gain from the clock output to the audio-gd r8mk2 is because the internal clock is pretty good ? Because its definitely better with the ext clock but difference is not as much as the DDC clock connection makes.

For those who use the HT DC3 cable - is the arrow on the cable pointing towards the DDC or Clock?
I noticed the sound signature is much more enjoyable if pointing toward the clock.

For the LMR400 cable - since my cable didn't have any markings, I tried it both ways and didn't notice a difference.
The arrows should be pointing away from the source.

Usually when the cable is marked as directional, its because the ground is tied to the shield on one end.

Huh? The source in this case is the clock. I am using my HT for my first clock to the EtherREGEN with the arrows pointing to the ER (the destination).

If you only have a DDC (u18) and an OCK 2 (clock), which way would the arrow be facing on the HT DC cable?

Ah, sorry i was thinking you meant DDC -> Dac
if you connect Clock -> DDC then of course the clock is the "source" and arrows should point away from the clock towards the DDC

Tho depending on the grounding design it might be ok to have shield connected on the DDC end, i just wouldnt hook it up on the dac side, maybe this is even beneficial because clocks can be quite sensitive to power/ground noise so thats maybe why you hear a benefit connecting the ground on the DDC side (arrows pointing towards the clock)

The arrows should be pointing away from the clock to the DDC.

The ock2 clock only has outputs, no inputs.

I made a second longer BNC cable for DI20HE.
I don't know if the silver plugs are as good or the silver wire, maybe both.
Both new cables are unbaked and are 75 ohms, yet they are far superior to all my 50 ohm cables.
There is even better separation, better decay of instruments and clarity.
It's a pity that you can't buy good quality 50 ohm plugs and cable, it would probably be even better.

Telegartner manufactures 50 ohm BNC plugs that are non-magnetic.
When I have time, I will make cables on these plugs and a 50 ohm cable, then I will compare with other cables.

Does anyone know if 45 right angle sma plugs exist that would fit 8mm cable?

I want to upgrade the internal cable of my clock into the BNC bulkhead socket.

Which 50ohm cable are going with?

As I understand it the impedance on the cable needs to be calculated to be 50ohms and even then it won't measure exactly 50ohms.

I thought about making the cable also but this aspect made it too challenging.
