This guy used silicone ear plugs and made a mold of his ear, then he stuck his IEMs in it and cut a hole. I'm going to do the same thing, so I have some Monoprice MEP-933 on the way. But I have a question. Looks at this picture:

You notice how he cut a hole, and the hole is the same width as the driver. Is that the right way to make the hole, or is there a better way?

Oh, boy, it's going to sound great when it's done.

In other words should I make the sound hole like the first one or the second one?

I got the Radians DIY custom earplugs in the mail today from Amazon. I mixed together equal parts of the two materials but it plain doesn't harden. I mixed it about 4 hours ago, and it still doesn't stay in a ball, it turns into a puddle. Mind you the instructions say it will take 10 min. maybe 20 min. tops. So I have the material mixed for 10 times as long as it says. The one I got is clearly defective, so I just ordered another one and it will probably arrive on Friday. I'll let you guys know how this turns out. And also, I got the Radians earplugs (repackaged from Amazon) for $6.61.

I love being a cheapass.

TLDR: Earplugs don't work, getting some more on Friday, will update you then.
