Even though they are both good, I personally like the HD slightly better for its tighter bass and the excellent control of the upper range.

I don't own or ever heard the shockwave III, so I can't say.

Oh.. Think I see a rating list that SW III is on the first.. and K3, Lz A4 after that. I remember that it' yours.
I am quite happy with K3 pro now even I hope its bass(sub bass) could be faster for power metal.

I've looked through the PenonAudio site, it's stating:

• Speaker drive mode：Balanced Armature × 1 + Dynamic ×1

Does it mean that it's now going to be 2 drivers? A single BA and a single dynamic?
