What headphones should I get if I want mad extreme bass, i want massive amounts of it, I want that my ears move because the bass. I listend to my friends ESW9 and was impressed, it had more bass than my A900.

My budget is about 200-250usd$ used. Ill be making a PPAv2 with a NumberCruncher as source. I prefer closed cans, but if I can have a sick amount of bass with opens cans, then so be it.

My thoughts are that I should get a DT770, which is about 135eu(170usd$). Maybe some other ideas?

They'll be used with electonical music, I've got other cans for different styles

The DT770 pro's have a lot of bass.
The DT770 2005 consumer edition is bass lean.
Another contender for great bass could be the DT150.....

I tend to disagree. I have heard the DT770 Pro (newer and older models) and feel it's bass is overrated. Not once did I think it was overly done. I will say it has more bass than the DT880, but not so much more that it's insanely bassy. The bass sounds like that of the HD600.

None more bass.

x2 for the skullcandies. Is the skullcrusher the one that has some physical vibration mechanism that they claim is like a subwoofer?

The very one.

I'm sure their frequency response is ghastly, but who cares? They have a subwoofer built right in. There is no more bass to be had.

I'll try the Skullcrusher's just to see how much bass they actually have. IMHO most modern cans have lean bass. However exceptions are the HD650, RS-1.

I wouldn't recommend the DT700's for bass. Sure they have a decent amount, but it isn't quality.

I'll pass on the skullcandy's, even though SQ isnt the most important thing, this is still headfi :p

HD650 is a bit to expensive(I'd rather get a 580(which should be about 80% of a 650)). So the 770 isnt really that good? I've heard they were bassmonsters, with reasonable SQ

The 770's sound really good, just the bass seems a little muddied (to me at least) and is focussed on more. Not bad though.

ALSO....

Look into the Sennheiser HD485's. They are quite affordable and have good bass that should please you.
