My Q40's left speaker sounds somehow strange especially with low bass and a bit higher volume e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xpKYN3_ynY from 0:24
(I linked this one cause It's easy to hear it, but I hear it on most of my songs that I listen to).

Frist I tought it might be the small board which is attached to the part where you screw your cable in http://cdn.head-fi.org/8/8b/900x900px-LL-8be79237_vtaRU.jpeg
and that it resonates (or I don't know how to call it) and keeps hitting something inside and that's what's causing the sound. But I don't know, can someone confirm that he's hearing it too and it's a manufacturing problem, or are my ones just defective? :frowning2:

It's a resonating piece of hair which happens especially with certain very low frequencies like the ones you linked to. These headphones are very prone to that issue, I've probably cleaned my drivers like 5-10 times as long as I've been using these. Hair gets soooo easily stuck around the driver enclosure as it penetrates very easily through the protective foam. So basicly... remove the pads and clean the driver enclosures of hair pieces and you will be a happy camper again. Just make sure you don't damage the driver diaphragm when doing so.

That's one of the downsides having such a powerful very deep bass... it will so easily cause the resonating piece of hair issue.
