The compatibility problem is a two-way problem, that is, there is a problem with the UAC chip configuration, and there is also a problem with the mobile phone SOC chip. For example, if we do not change our UAC configuration, all mobile phones except some 8gen2 cannot be connected, which means that this SOC does have a compatibility problem. , we can actually change the code related to UAC connection to be compatible with 8gen2 mobile phones. We have actually debugged a suitable configuration internally to ensure the stable connection of Mi 13, but we have not dared to release it on a large scale because it may cause other problems. There are new compatibility issues with mobile phones, so the best solution is that the 8gen2 SoC can release a patch. In the past two days, we will strengthen the compatibility tests of various mobile phones and release a version of the firmware to update first.

We are not trying to shirk. As for the S23 mentioned earlier, it is compatible with USB3.2. We are guessing whether it may be due to the problem of the 8gen2 full-interface CC logic recognition mechanism. However, VIVO and MI13 U are full-interface and do not support it. It is possible to eliminate this problem. We are not afraid of slapping the face when we eliminate the problem. If there is a problem, we will solve the problem. "

Some output power tests done by LP. :)
But output wattage does not map 1:1 between W2 and W4, which makes these charts not super useful if not deceiving.
Should have posted measurement of input vs output wattage for both, single and bal output.

Almost certainly not related, but the Shanling UA5 has a bug with some Android phones (in particular Samsung S22 series, based on the gen 1 version of the QCOM SoC) where no sound would play out of the dongle (or, more accurately it would play at an insanely low level so as to be virtually undetectable) - the kludge was to begin playing music without the dongle plugged in, and once music was coming from the phone speaker then plug in the UA5, music would then play out of the dongle. I wonder if it is the same here?

Interestingly enough, Shanling developed a firmware fix, but concluded that it was potentially even more problematic than the issue it was fixing, so they never posted it for public consumption, only providing it on demand when an individual asked for it.

Not to disagree but the original Chinese post where the graphs are from actually has lengthy explanation on what they are measuring so it is not as much as deception but more like lost-in-(lack-of)-translation.

Thanks for posting!

Also, the latest FW can be found here. They are put under the “W4” folder, and the upgrade process is the same as for W1/W2.

Note also that this FW update applies to W1/W2, which means that the IE600 profile is available for W1/W2 as well. The W1/W2 FW file is here.

So this firmware is the same and can be used for both W2 and W4 right?

I just downloaded for the W2 but is not compatible. It managed to install it normal and it was a success but at the end 001 message was shown all the time. I reinstalled the 1.0.4.8 back.
Wait, did you downloaded the W4 file and installed it on W2 or did you download the new W1 / W2 files that is in a different folder?
