I went to the L&P Chinese website and could not find any info about this new firmware. Is there some Chinese website where L&P players are being discussed and the new firmware is being shared prior to it being posted on the official website?

I would wait for @JohnYang to post the official download link.  He is in direct contact with L&P and Mr Wang and typically maintains/updates all head-fi L&P threads with official "final" fw releases

My L3 has 1.0.0.2 version as stock. Can't play m4a files...
